Overview
DESCRIPTION: Machinist sets up and operates conventional, special purpose and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to manufacture parts by performing the following duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Cuts material as required by shop router and sign off operation on shop router.
- Works in accordance with OSHA Safety regulations.
- Holds responsibility for wearing proper safety equipment in required areas.
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, signs off operations on router.
- Be sure that 1st piece inspection is performed as required.
- Keeps work area and machine clean, neat and safe.
- Performs other duties as required or instructed by Supervisor.
- Preferably a US Citizen.
- Some experience preferred.
