- Employment Type: Full-Time
One of our clients is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support overnight operations at a quarry facility in Millville, WV. This role is responsible for installing, assembling, inspecting, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
The position plays a critical role in preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and minimizing production downtime during overnight hours.
What You’ll Accomplish- Perform routine preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, and other quarry equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues
- Conduct inspections to identify potential failures or safety hazards
- Weld, fabricate, and complete structural repairs as needed
- Lubricate equipment and replace wear parts such as belts, bearings, and filters
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Safely operate forklifts, man lifts, and other support equipment
- Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns to reduce downtime
- Ensure all work complies with MSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate shift activities and equipment status to day‑shift personnel and supervisors
- Promote and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Field of Study:
- Millwright, Industrial Mechanics, or Heavy Equipment Maintenance
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of directly related experience in a plant or industrial environment
- Experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens)
Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical knowledge (motors, switches, control panels)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Familiarity with MSHA safety regulations
Work Environment &
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas
- Capable of lifting heavy parts and climbing ladders
- Available to work Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays
- Able to pass a 7‑year criminal background check (felonies and misdemeanors)

- Must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use required PPE, including respirators where required (clean shaven where respirator seal meets the face to pass fit testing)
