Job Description
The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings on a routine basis at a previously established optimum frequency.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings
- Review manufacturers’ service manuals, facility’s usage schedules, records of maintenance problems, and inspection and repair reports to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance
- Study production and operation schedules and confer with staff to determine when to perform planned maintenance to avoid interference with operations of facility
- Schedule and perform inspections of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings
- Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance
- Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
- Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years production maintenance experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills
- Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and/or completion of a craft apprenticeship or technical certification preferred
- Greater than 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician preferred
- Previous TIG and stick welding experience preferred
