We’re looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team and help install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems. In this role, you’ll work with a supportive group dedicated to providing reliable safety solutions for our clients.

Job Overview

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you’ll install, program, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance. You’ll work closely with clients and team members to troubleshoot issues and provide exceptional service. This role is for someone with technical expertise in fire alarm systems who is ready to grow with a supportive and forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities Installation and Maintenance
  • Install fire alarm systems, including electrical wiring and equipment, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes.
  • Program, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and emergency repairs of fire alarm systems.
Service and Compliance
  • Ensure all systems meet local licensure requirements, including acquiring and maintaining necessary licenses/certifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Travel to job sites across the Philadelphia area and surrounding areas as necessary (company vehicle provided).
Customer Support
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of work completed and provide clear reports to clients and management.
Who You Are

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused technician with a passion for fire protection and safety.

  • Experienced:
    Hands-on experience in the fire alarm industry, including installation and inspection.
  • Knowledgeable:
    Familiarity with all applicable NFPA codes and standards.
  • Skilled Communicator:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Physically Capable:
    Ability to carry and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Driver’s License:
    Valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.
Your First 90 Days with UsFirst 30 Days
  • Complete onboarding and training to understand company systems, tools, and processes.
  • Shadow senior technicians to learn workflows and gain hands-on experience.
  • Begin performing basic installations and inspections under supervision.
Next 30 Days (60 Days Total)
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, including system testing and programming.
  • Obtain required licensure and certifications.
  • Build relationships with clients and team members to foster collaboration.
By 90 Days
  • Independently manage installations, troubleshooting, and inspections.
  • Provide recommendations to improve workflows and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to company strategies.
