Antero Resources – Pipeline Operator I

Join Antero Resources as a Pipeline Operator I to ensure safe and efficient operation of gas gathering and facility systems. This role involves hands‑on maintenance, flow monitoring, and collaboration with Midstream teams and service contractors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe working environment and represent the Company in a professional manner while providing excellent customer service.
  • Assist and observe to learn from the Midstream team and service contractors, including pipeline pigging and maintenance crews.
  • Assist with maintaining efficient flow of gases and other materials, monitor the pipeline and gathering system, and communicate with other Operators and Technicians.
  • Perform service, maintenance, and basic repair of pipeline facilities.
  • Submit accurate maintenance reports and work orders in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), expense reports, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
  • Communicate continuously with Pipeline Supervisors to provide updates, address issues, and report abnormal or unusual operating conditions to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Comply with all environmental laws, policies, and regulations, and promptly report adverse environmental conditions.
  • Maintain a clean worksite, free of all waste and spills, to ensure hazard‑free working conditions.
  • Assist Pipeline Locators with pipeline locate requests from WV 811.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education, Experience, Licensure
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of gas gathering and/or facility operations experience.
Core Competencies
  • Basic knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and associated equipment.
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, and computer knowledge.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, tasks, growth, and direction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and foster and encourage teamwork.
  • Basic math skills with ability to calculate tank volumes and gas flow rates.
Safety Sensitive Related
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meets Company’s insurance qualifications to operate a company vehicle.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
  • Exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi‑line telephone system.
  • Extreme cold and heat: temperatures typically below 32°F or above 100°F for periods of more than one hour.
  • Noise: sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout above ambient levels.
  • Vibration: exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.
  • Confined space: work areas large enough for an individual to enter, limited means of entry or exit, and not designed for continuous occupancy.
  • Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, and exposure to chemicals, combustibles, explosives.
HOURS / SHIFTS
  • Regular business hours (e.g., Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m.).
  • Available for on‑call rotation and responsibilities on weekends and holidays for urgent issues or emergencies during off hours, as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly lift, push, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and perform other similar movements.
  • Frequent traversal through challenging terrain to perform work and inspect equipment/assets.
TRAVEL
  • Minimal travel may be required to other locations.
  • Frequent travel to Company field operations and/or offices. Approximately 95% of time in the field.
