If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance and Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 12 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Property and Casualty Accounting.

• Checking, processing and posting reinsurance statements of account including assuring completion
• Processing incoming and outgoing payments
• Initiating the creation of new bank details
• Claims processing including sanction screening and consultation with claims specialists
• Quarterly closing work
• Correspondence with internal interfaces and external customers
• Participation in working groups and projects
• Maintain quality and consistency of process standards and operational controls

• Degree in business administration and/or comparable training
• Initial experience in accounting (e.g. from the areas of insurance, banking, taxes)
• Understanding of different accounting principles, e.g. HGB and IFRS
• Basic understanding of obligatory and facultative reinsurance contractual forms of advantage
• German and English at a conversational level, knowledge of Spanish desirable
• SAP skills of advantage
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong understanding of financial interrelationships
• Independent and structured way of working with high quality standards
• Strong communication skills and enjoy working together and engaging in constructive dialogue in interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness and curiosity to familiarise yourself with new IT technologies and tools
