Trek Food

Position Overview

Assists with the preparation, packing, and organization of all trek meals. This role supports the Trek Food Manager by ensuring meals are accurately assembled, inventory is monitored, and the food area is kept clean and orderly. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role contributing directly to trek experiences success.

• Accurately pick, pack, and label trek meals following packing procedures and daily order requirements.
• Restock shelves and prep stations with food items and packaging supplies as needed.
• Assist with daily inventory counts, report low stock, and help organize incoming deliveries.
• Follow packing checklists and labeling standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with the Trek Food Manager and team to support smooth daily operations and complete assigned tasks.
• Adjust priorities, order volumes, or tasks as directed by the Trek Food Manager.
• Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions while maintaining a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area.
• Perform additional duties assigned by S  leadership.
• Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the S  staff handbook.

• Minimum age: 18+
• Preferred:
  Experience in food service or warehouse operations.
• Ability to complete food handlers training (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication.

• Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 12 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 90 pounds with a partner.
• Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines.
