This position is located at the Harpers Ferry National Historic Park in Harpers Ferry, WV. This position reports to the park Superintendent. The purpose of the position is to plan, direct, coordinate, and implement the Volunteers-In-Parks (VIP) and Youth Programs for the park consistent with National Park Service (NPS) standards. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 03/20/2026 whichever comes first.

• Meets and collaborates with park staff and partners to identify needed skills as well as projects, programs, and tasks to be accomplished by volunteers or youth groups.
• Communicates a concise vision for the VIP and youth programs, both internally, and externally, verbally and in writing.
• Provides guidance and assistance to park supervisors with the supervision of volunteers.
• Initiates and maintains contact with Federal, state, and local agencies, non-profit groups, business communities, partner organizations, and civic groups in order to increase the effectiveness of the parks VIP and youth programs.
• Supports interpretive operations and coordinates special events and outreach activities for the park.
• Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
