Production/Packaging Operator - TEMP

Salary: $17.00/hour

Hours:

M-F 7am-5pm (10 hour days)

Temporary

Full-time - Duration 3-4 months

• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

• The packaging operator performs bagging and baler functions as determined by Shift Leads.
• Operate machinery productively while following safety guidelines.
• Assist other production areas as needed.
• Move and wrap completed products.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs and standing minimum 7 hours per day.
• Assist Shift Leads to start and stop pellet mills.
• Communicate moisture or material problems to Shift Lead.
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Operate bagging/baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jack, bag sealer.
• Stack bags on pallets, cover pallets, place finished goods in correct location.
• Accurately complete the Bagger production report, fill pellet sample cups, tag pallets with QC information.

• Stack bales on pallets, seal bales, wrap pallets.
• Accurately complete Baler Operator production report, check bale weight, record info on reports and QC tags.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Need to pass company forklift training.
• Must read and interpret scales.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for weight/time adjustments and simple maintenance.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
