Metrology Technician

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and inspect drawings, models, and process specifications following company procedures and customer requirements.
• Perform inspections on tooling products, production parts, and machines, utilizing Portable Coordinate Measurement Systems such as laser trackers, Faro Arms, and other precision measuring equipment. Perform spot checks, in-process inspections, first part buyoffs, and final inspections.
• Ensure accurate calibration and verification of company and employee tools by calibrating tools, sending tools for outside calibration, and reporting non‑confirming tooling to management.
• Generate inspection reports utilizing Verisurf software.
• Organize, file, and maintain inspection documents and data.
• Measure aerospace molds, parts, and assemblies to 3D generated models, drawings, and provided specifications.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, interpret and inspect drawings, 3‑D generated models, procedures, and process specifications with the ability to articulate findings.
• Proficient in the use of basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other standard measuring and inspection equipment.
• Proficient in the use of advanced metrology equipment such as Faro Arms, laser trackers, and laser scanners.
• Problem‑solving and analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of 3D inspection and procedures.
• Must be available to work overtime and weeks as business requires.
• Proficient in Verisurf software and use of Faro measuring equipment preferred.
