Paralegal Specialist

The paralegal specialist is responsible for providing legal and administrative support across various legal areas including criminal law, international law, civil/administrative law, contract law, and fiscal law. They assist judges, Judge Advocates, and unit commanders with a wide range of legal matters and judicial work.

• Provide paralegal support to unit commanders and the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate
• Prepare legal documents for courts-martial, Article 15 actions, and other military justice proceedings
• Review line of duty determinations, investigations, separation board proceedings, and other administrative law matters
• Assist in family law matters such as power of attorney, wills, and separation decrees

• Age: 17 to 34 years old
• Education:
  
  Current Senior in High School, High School Diploma, GED, or higher
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must submit to background and medical screening

Requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
