Job Title: Industry Vertical Lead - Life Sciences
Location: United States (Travel up to 40%)

Role OverviewWe are seeking a senior Industry Vertical Lead - Life Sciences to shape and execute our industry strategy, drive revenue growth, and position the organization as a trusted digital transformation partner across pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device sectors.
This executive-level role combines deep Life Sciences domain expertise with engineering, digital, automation, and consulting leadership. The ideal candidate will serve as the organization’s subject matter authority for Life Sciences, lead strategic accounts, develop scalable solution offerings, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering high-value outcomes in regulated manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities Industry Strategy & Thought Leadership- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Life Sciences vertical aligned with market trends and regulatory evolution
- Serve as industry expert in executive briefings, conferences, and customer engagements
- Produce thought leadership including white papers, maturity models, frameworks, and industry POVs
- Provide deep expertise across pharma, biotech, and medical devices including GxP, GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and data integrity
- Lead executive discussions on digital manufacturing, industrial data management, electronic batch records, operational resilience, and AI adoption in regulated environments
- Create digital manufacturing maturity models aligned to ISA-95, ISA-88, and FDA/EMA expectations
- Lead development of Life Sciences-specific offerings spanning digital transformation, automation, analytics, and systems integration
- Define end-to-end architectures across MES/MOM, IDM, SCADA/HMI, cloud data platforms, historians, AI/ML, and quality systems
- Develop value propositions, pricing strategies, and differentiators
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and delivery teams to translate domain expertise into scalable solution packages
- Create reusable assets, accelerators, and reference architectures to drive repeatability and margin expansion
- Own Life Sciences revenue and operating profit targets
- Partner with Business Development leadership to achieve annual sales goals
- Act as Account Owner for 1-3 Strategic Accounts and 3-5 Focused Accounts
- Drive the full sales cycle from executive engagement to deal closure
- Lead consultative selling motions with VP/SVP/Director-level executives
- Sell large-scale digital transformation programs including MES, SCADA/HMI, digital quality initiatives, industrial data platforms, automation modernization, and AI/ML solutions
- Create executive-ready proposals and SOWs for $1M-$10M+ programs
- Utilize Salesforce for pipeline management and forecasting accuracy
- Expand presence in regulated manufacturing by articulating ROI, compliance value, and total cost of ownership
- Manage and mentor Senior Business Development Managers, Business Development Managers, and Account Managers
- Support sales pursuits within target and focused accounts
- Serve as executive sponsor for major Life Sciences programs
- Ensure regulatory, validation, and data integrity requirements are met
- Partner with Automation, MES, SCADA, Data Engineering, Cloud, and AI teams for cohesive solution delivery
- Collaborate with Marketing on trade shows, industry events, and demand-generation initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in new sales and client acquisition
- 10-15 years of Life Sciences industry experience (pharma, biotech, or medical device)
- Strong understanding of GxP, GMP operations, validation, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience selling engineering, software, industrial automation, or OT solutions to manufacturing organizations
- Experience with MES/MOM/SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., Ignition, PAS-X, Pharmasuite, Production Centre, Syncade, POMSnet), historians, batch systems, and digital quality tools
- Familiarity with industrial data platforms, cloud environments, and AI/ML in regulated manufacturing
- Established track record selling to C-suite and senior executives
- Demonstrated success closing multi-million-dollar consulting and digital transformation programs
- Progressive record of year-over-year profitable revenue growth
- Strong knowledge of at least three technical disciplines:
Automation, Integration, Software Development, BI, Enterprise Solutions, or Products - Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
- Strong sales planning, forecasting, and CRM discipline
- Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring sales teams
- Up to 40% travel required
