Senior Computer Systems Engineer; MECM​/Adaptiva

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Computer Systems Engineer specializing in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Adaptiva to support a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting, deploying, and optimizing MECM environments integrated with Adaptiva for efficient content delivery and endpoint management. This position will be located in Kearneysville, WV and will be a hybrid position.

• Architect, implement, and maintain MECM environments for enterprise endpoint management.
• Deploy, configure, and optimize Adaptiva One Site for content distribution and endpoint performance.
• Develop, test, and deploy software packages, updates, and patches using MECM and Adaptiva.
• Create and maintain task sequences for automated OS deployments and upgrades.
• Ensure endpoints comply with organizational security policies and standards.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for MECM and Adaptiva-related issues, including client health and content distribution.
• Develop Power Shell scripts and automation solutions to streamline endpoint management tasks.
• Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Generate and analyze reports on software deployments, compliance, and system health.

Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years (or commensurate expertise).

  Active Secret clearance
• Certifications:
  
  DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+)
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of direct experience leading or supporting MECM and Adaptiva projects in a large environment.
• MECM Expertise:
  Hands-on experience architecting and managing MECM environments in large-scale enterprise settings.
• Adaptiva Integration:
  Proven experience integrating Adaptiva with MECM for optimized content delivery.
• Windows Server Administration: Strong understanding of Windows Server platforms ) and core services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS).
• Imaging and Deployment:
  Experience with Windows imaging, task sequences, and driver management.
• Virtualization:
  Proficiency with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Automation:
  Advanced scripting skills in Power Shell for automation and system management.
• Documentation:
  Skilled in creating clear, detailed documentation for system configurations and operational procedures.

• Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard environments

• Communication:
  Ability to write and present clear reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The posted pay range USD $ - USD $ /Yr. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
