Security Assurance Coordinator

Ideally DV Cleared but will accept SC Clearance if willing to undergo DV.

We are seeking a SC, preferably DV cleared Security Assurance Coordinator (SAC) to support the delivery of security governance, risk and compliance service through business as usual and any future capability enhancements.

Skills and Experience:

• At least 5 years demonstrable experience operating in a Security Assurance Coordinator type role and gaining Accreditation for novel system/network architectures.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of defence policy and standards, particularly JSP 440, 604 and overarching HMG policy.
• Experience of producing RMADS, Security Instructions and other security policy related documentation.
• Detailed, experience and understanding of the Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) model including large scale virtualisation of servers, desktops, infrastructure and storage technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK Defence deployed network architectures, federations with coalition partners, security enforcing gateways and modern techniques for enforcement of security principles including micro-segmentation, VPN, VDI, hardware encryption and information flow handling.
• Working within the public sector, preferably Defence, and ideally with Defence Digital (formerly ISS).
• Knowledge of Cloud and/or Data centre based Security Architectures.
• Security related qualifications, such as:
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),
• CCP SIRA Certification at Practitioner or above,
• Audit tooling knowledge (ideally SPLUNK and Solar Winds).
• Hold a current SC clearance and be prepared to undergo DV clearance if necessary.
