The Opportunity
In this role, you will be the backbone of our workforce operations, ensuring our team members are supported, empowered, and equipped to provide excellent, compassionate care. By fostering a positive culture and managing the full employee lifecycle, you will play a vital role in helping our organization and its people thrive.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Review and make recommendations to executive management to improve IHCWV organizational policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation while enforcing adherence to new requirements and advising management on those changes.Develop, maintain, and update the HR policies to create high levels of expectations for administrators and staff and provide uniformity among IHCWV’s nine site locations.Conduct employee onboarding, offboarding, and help plan training and development.Provide support to employees on various HR‑related topics, such as leaves, compensation, etc., and resolve employee and patient conflicts and complaints.Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development for the organization.Maintain the human resource information system (HRIS).Manage the electronic and paper versions of employee personnel files, including current compensation, benefits, performance, mandated information, etc.Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.Act as the plan administrator for IHCWV’s retirement plan by working with employees to obtain the necessary information to prepare annual reporting, educate employees on their 401(k) plan, and prepare government filings (5500).Maintain industry trends and employment legislation knowledge and ensure the organization’s compliance.Perform project and marketing management by taking steps to measure, enhance, and enrich the position and image of IHCWV through various goals, objectives, and community involvement.Other duties as assigned by the CEO.Drive company culture by facilitating company celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, and staff appreciation days.Head various committees as requested.Oversee the maintenance and implementation of the yearly LMS.Regularly visit sites to grow and develop rapport with staff.QUALIFICATIONS:Required
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Accounting and 2‑5 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of Federal and State Labor Laws.Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, payroll and other HR functions.Demonstrated ability to implement the HR plans and strategies and contribute to their refinement.Experience in conflict resolution.Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel between locations as needed.Preferred
Education and Experience Master's degree;
Human Resources, labor relations, organizational development, industrial psychology, business administration.SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.Maintain SHRM-SCP certification or have the ability to obtain certification.These duties are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities.
