Talent Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations, Recruiter

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is seeking a HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
for a client in Proctor, WV.
An international specialty manufacturing organization is building a next-generation chemical and food ingredient production facility in West Virginia. With significant long-term investment and multiple expansion phases planned, this site will play a critical role in the company’s global growth strategy.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll own the full HR function for a fast-paced chemical manufacturing plant. You’ll be a trusted partner to leadership and a go-to resource for employees—shaping culture, ensuring compliance, and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly.

What You Will Do:Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruitment—from job postings and interviews to offers and hiring decisions (partnering with outside recruiters when needed).
- Deliver engaging new-hire orientations and ensure all onboarding requirements are completed, including I-9s and safety training.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate performance review cycles and support coaching and improvement plans.
Compliance & Workplace Safety
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including OSHA, FMLA, and EEO.
- Maintain safety training documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Process accurate, on-time payroll and recommend or optimize HRIS solutions.
- Administer benefits programs and guide employees through open enrollment.
HR Systems, Records & Reporting
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Track and report key HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and training completion.
Training & Development
- Schedule, track, and document mandatory training programs.
- Support employee growth and development initiatives across the plant.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Lead recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and plant-wide events that strengthen engagement and morale.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification preferred).
- 3–7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within manufacturing or the chemical industry.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office; payroll system experience is a plus.
- Sponsorship is not available for this role. All candidates must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
