Overview

American Cruise Lines is hiring Dishwashers for the 2026 season. This temporary position runs for 28 weeks onboard our shipboard galley, where you will maintain the sanitation of all galley equipment and support the dining experience for our guests.

Base Pay Range

Wages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week, with additional bonuses. All major living expenses are covered aboard, giving you the opportunity to save and travel across America.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the galley, including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas.
  • Receive and carry food deliveries, lifting boxes that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Ensure the commercial dishwasher operates properly and report any maintenance issues to management.
  • Create genuine rapport with guests and attend to all galley requests efficiently.
  • Assist with additional duties as needed, such as greeting guests upon embarkation and supporting special events and entertainment.

Qualifications

You must be at least 18 years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder. You must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, seven days a week, for up to 28 weeks. Employees must be able to meet moderate physical demands, including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking.

Under Federal Law, all shipboard employees must pre‑employment drug test, including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. American Cruise Lines has grooming standards that limit visible tattoos and piercings. This is a temporary employment position not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work.
