Requirements
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Current NREMT Paramedic certification
Current WV Paramedic certification, or the ability to obtain within 60 days
Current CPR certification
Completion of an approved Hazardous Material Awareness course
Completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
Valid Drivers License
Firefighter I certification (WV, Pro Board, or another acceptable equivalent)*
Firefighter II certification OR Vehicle & Machinery Rescue Operations*

We operate a County owned 911 EMS system based out of VFDs across the County and utilize their fire apparatus to provide fire and rescue services to the community. Come be part of our growing department.
Starting salary consummate with qualified previous career experience. Additional 3% COLA increase on July 1, 2025.

If the number of well-qualified candidates exceeds the number of openings available, excess candidates may be placed on an eligibility list for hire as positions become available.
