Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Medical Office Certification

• Insurance experience

• Employee must have proficient use of and accurate data entry and ability to abstract data.
• Reviews work for accuracy
• Collaborates with other staff to assure medical record and scheduling is accurate
• Collects and post payments accurately and balances at the end of the shift
• Releases medical records and Protected Health Information per protocols and adheres to HIPAA
• Communicates with patients and clinic staff to ensure proper paperwork is available for the office visit.
• Monitors use of hospital resources. Assists with ensuring supplies are available.
• Ensures excellence of service in all clinics where employee is assigned to work
• Uses software programs needed to complete registration and process requests for medical records.

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time

• Normal office setting

• 40 words a minute typing verified by testing
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrates strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrates outstanding customer service skills
• Demonstrates team-building skills
• Demonstrates highly developed social and communication skills
• Demonstrates excellent judgement and the ability to stay calm and level headed in difficult situations
• Demonstrates ability to multi task
