• Assist the surgeon in perioperative care of patients under direct supervision.
• Perform duties as assigned, including patient positioning, placement of pneumatic tourniquet, urinary catheter placement, and assisting with surgical instruments and site prep.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with tissue retraction, manipulation, and suturing of surgical drains and wounds.
• Support all surgical procedures under the surgeon’s direction.
• Ensure hemostasis and proper tissue handling.
• Other duties within scope of practice as assigned.

• Graduated from a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant program.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) by NBSTSA or Certified Surgical Technician.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.

• 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long hours, and traveling between facilities.
• Work in a hospital clinical setting.

• Demonstrated quality outcomes, computer literacy, organization skills, and team development.

• Four 10-hour shifts, days and call required.
• 40 hours per week, non-exempt, day shift.
