Overview
Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail is looking to fill a Procurement Associate vacancy. Under general supervision, the incumbent completes all purchasing for the Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail. This includes reviewing purchasing requests, determining availability, securing bids, serving as contact person for vendors and shipping, resolving problems, keeping records, reconciling P-cards and paying bills timely. The incumbent must follow all regulatory DCR purchasing guidelines along with any State financial regulations.
This position also serves as backup for the inmate trustee clerk position. Duties of the inmate trustee clerk position include posting of money and vouchers to inmate accounts along with writing inmate checks. Preference may be given to candidates with established working knowledge in bookkeeping, purchasing and/or auditing. Perform other duties as assigned and assist in security post as needed.

- In accordance with SPB 3088 effective 10/7/23, $5,000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility.
- Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service.
- If an employee is hired into a Critical Vacancy Pay Facility (CVPF) and leaves the facility, the additional pay differential of $5,000 shall be removed from their salary, unless transferring to another CVPF.
Compensation Notes: Minimum Special Hiring Rate: $36,533.00. Division of Corrections:
Probationary Period 6 months.

Qualifications
Training: High school diploma or the equivalent.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid clerical experience which included purchasing supplies and maintaining inventory.
OR
Substitution: Bachelor s degree from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.
