Requirements- High school diploma required.
- Banking, cash handling, sales, and customer service experience preferred.
Summary: Helps foster a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports, and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance. Customer Service Advisor (CSA) roles involve providing excellent customer service while identifying sales opportunities and performing account transactions. The CSA is responsive to the Banking Center needs and provides CSR and sales platform support as needed. The CSA builds consumer and business relationships and promotes Bank products and services.
The role complies with all Bank policies, procedures, and security measures. Responsibilities include operating as a CSR, opening new deposit accounts, and connecting with customers to determine their needs and make recommendations and referrals to internal and external partners as applicable.
In addition, the CSA spends time initiating outbound calls focused on proper customer onboarding, prospecting new Retail customers, and promoting bank products for Retail banking relationships. The CSA may participate in community service opportunities in the specified market.

- Assess financial needs of Banking Center customers, make recommendations, and refer to business partners for product promotions.
- Process all financial service transactions accurately.
- Open new deposit accounts, consumer loans, and operate a cash drawer with proper balancing; identify opportunities for additional products and services and make qualified referrals.
- Comply with security and audit procedures.
- Achieve production and referral goals through relationship development, outbound calls, partner referrals, and onboarding calls to acquire or expand customer relationships.
- Collaborate with branch staff and peers to promote a team environment and meet goals.
- Set priorities by monitoring performance against goals and adjusting activities as needed.
- Execute outbound calling activities inside the banking center; promote bank products and make appropriate referrals according to location goals.
- Educate the team about opportunities to advance customers financial wellness.
- Support day-to-day operations including open/close procedures, vault duties, cash control, inventory, and audit/compliance requirements.
- Participate in regular staff meetings.
- Provide service to customers on banking matters and resolve issues professionally.
- Build relationships with internal partners and seek constructive peer feedback.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and follow established guidelines and procedures using available resources.
- Maintain security controls to protect the banking center from risks and fraud.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Contribute to a team environment by answering calls and supporting duties as assigned.
- Banking is highly regulated; maintain proficiency in Bank policies and procedures and complete all compliance training timely.
- Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calls and internal business development.
- Strong consumer lending skills and product knowledge relevant to the role.
- Strong communication skills—verbal and written—to clearly convey concepts and product information.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and stay flexible.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365 and banking software; strong general computer skills.
- Sound mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle varied situations where standardization may be limited.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
- The CSA is required to have a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration within thirty days of hire.
- May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
