Leads, coordinates, and supports provider compensation and revenue cycle analysis for assigned support group. The position will provide analytical support for the development and measurement of production, compensation, and operational targets and models, and the coordination of the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of provider compensation plans. This role will monitor and analyze provider revenue cycle indicators, identifying opportunities for improved performance.
This position will work closely with the Regional Administrators, Hospital and Physician Leadership, to ensure productivity/compensation are being reported and paid to providers accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure accurate budgeting and strong monitoring of financial results to maximize efficiency and identify opportunities for margin enhancement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or other related area
- Three (3) years of accounting/finance related experience
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- CPA certification
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Experience in Healthcare preferred.
- Coordinate provider performance and compensation analysis and reporting process by working with clinical and hospital leadership who play a role in the process.
- Independently analyze and complete monthly performance reports for non-academic provider practice entities. Work closely with regional accountants & practice leaders to assess performance against targets.
- Maintains physician compensation and contract management software for SMG.
- Monitors total compensation payments made to employed and contracted providers to ensure adherence to compensation plan and compliance with Fair Market Value standards. Communicates directly with SMG leadership regarding negative variances and rolling projections.
- Continuously monitor revenue cycle performance improvement and margin enhancement opportunities and communicate to Finance and Provider Practice leadership. Specific reporting duties include: comparing reimbursement by clinic/provider and payor to ensure consistency across all practice sites; identify potential payor enrollment issues; and monitor and act upon claims denials.
- Directs the payment of Medical Directorships, Call Pay and other non-productivity contractual terms.
- Coordinates the completion of financial analysis related to and in support of new services, provider compensation rates, and long term strategic initiatives of the Provider Practices. Leverage Inflow or equivalent tool to aide in assessment.
- Develops & Monitors Physician compensation Models, including incentives in conjunction with Finance and Provider Practice Leadership.
- Conduct analytical research of historical data as well as projected impact of new or changing services related to the non-academic practices.
- Oversee the process of maintaining the physician compensation plans, incentive payment calculations, and maintaining provider productivity tools & reports.
- Collaborate with Hospital Finance & Reimbursement team on the completion of larger scale financial projections related to the Provider Practices.
- Key member of core SMG Administration team. Analyze and provide recommendations on compensation model upgrades.
