Introduction:
Our Client is developing and building multiple construction and engineering CAPEX projects in the UK.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibility is the development, setting out and facilitation of a strategic procurement programme focused on building relationships with a principal civil engineering contractor, M&E and specialist contractors and equipment and service providers.

Work closely and collaboratively with the Senior Management Team.

Conduct strategic negotiations and reviews with all contractors and suppliers.

Work closely with the Procurement Manager to review all procurement documentation and ensure commercial aspects of contracts are managed effectively.

Build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.

Manage the supply chain.

Ensure the timely delivery of goods and equipment within the agreed budgets.

Design and produce high level reports with emphasis on the delivery of a robust procurement strategy.

Development of procurement policies.

Chair and attend internal and external procurement review meetings.

Development of supply chain relationships for the benefit of projects.

Ensure that the financial aspects and risks of a contract are clear to all parties.

Experience:

Demonstrable track record working in a strategic procurement role within a Civil Engineering, M&E or Process Contractor, or a similar role in a client organisation.

Relevant experience on challenging, multi-million-pound construction and engineering projects.

Qualification at HND level (or higher) in an engineering discipline, procurement or purchasing.

Experience in dispute resolution processes.

Experience using NEC/IChemE conditions of contract.

Experience working in a collaborative environment.

Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and document sharing platforms.
