Process Engineer – Water

Glasgow (Hybrid Working Available throughout Scotland)

Our client is a Tier 1 design and build contractor company who are operating predominately in the water industry. They have been awarded a programme of work with Scottish Water to manage, design and deliver their capital delivery investment period.

You will deliver water and wastewater process design solutions from initial definition of need through optioneering, solution development, detail design and construction / commissioning support. As part of an integrated, multidiscipline design-delivery team the role will require a collaborative approach ensuring effective communication and engagement with project Teams, supply chain and client engineering / operational representatives.

This can be a Hybrid working role throughout Scotland, with travel to their Glasgow office once or twice a month. Responsibilities will include:

• Completing Process engineering design calculations
• Assist with the production of process designs which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively
• Maintain project records throughout the duration of contracts
• Carry out surveys at site visits
• Production of clear and well-presented reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation
• Ensure process solutions can be effectively integrated with existing assets, attending site as required to establish condition, suitability and performance of such assets.
• Establish collaborative working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs
• Record, monitor and control process design changes in order to maximise cost efficiency

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree Qualified in Chemical Engineering
• Knowledge of either water or wastewater process engineering would be preferred
• Proven track record of developing process design/mass balances
