Position overview

• Lead and execute startup and commissioning activities for two 780 TPD ASUs, one located in Apple Grove, WV and the other in Yamato, AR.
• Initial construction is 99% complete at both sites; one plant is ready for startup now, with the second awaiting permanent power.
• Each plant startup is expected to take approximately 3–4 months, with the intent to complete startup at one site and then transition to the other.
• Additional opportunities may include tuning and optimization of recently commissioned ASUs, depending on experience and interest.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the lead startup engineer for new ASUs, overseeing all commissioning, startup, and performance testing activities.
• Coordinate with construction, operations, and plant management to ensure readiness for startup and safe handover to operations.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process and equipment issues during startup and early operation.
• Optimize plant operating parameters, support performance tuning, and help establish stable, reliable operation.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to site operations and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

• Extensive, hands-on experience starting up and commissioning large cryogenic air separation units, ideally 700+ TPD capacity.
• Background with a major air separation company (e.g., industrial gas producer or EPC focused on ASUs) strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to independently lead ASU startup activities, manage timelines, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work on-site in Apple Grove, WV for the duration of startup (3–4 months per plant).
