Electrical Engineering Co-op

Summary

Partner with maintenance or continuous improvement activities to assist in projects, outages and electrical breakdowns.

Assist in developing, documenting, and improving preventive maintenance or continuous improvement programs to support the improvement of equipment availability and throughput.

Provide support for equipment failures and loss of production.

Assist in analyzing production delay data for establishing and documenting or modifying preventive maintenance tasks.

Provides support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.

Assist with Project Engineering duties.

Assisting with drafting and electrical drawing updates for electrical engineers review as modification and field changes take place.

Performs other related duties as assigned

Work with electrical engineers to prepare, coordinate and maintain schedules for extended production outages and major maintenance work.

Work with maintenance craftsmen and operations to meet department goals.

Review existing electrical components and understand failure conditions to identify more reliable components while meeting electrical requirements.

Upon completion of Co-op provide presentation of projects and tasks during your tenure.

Ability to provide leadership and be a team member on electrical projects.

Basic knowledge of electrical fundamentals and associated math skills.

Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Autodesk Applications, Adobe PDF Editor

Enrolled and completed 2+ years accredited university in Engineering or similar discipline.

The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

Computer proficiency in Windows environment and software tools that support job responsibilities.

Familiarity with common electrical measuring devices.

Industrial application of electrical rectification

Safe standards working with Medium and Low voltage systems

Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations.
