Mission Statement

West Liberty University is seeking applications for a full‑time faculty member in the department of Art Therapy and Counseling for the graduate program teaching virtual classes in art therapy and/or mental health counseling.

• Teach Graduate Level Creative Arts Therapy and Counseling Courses.
• Work with program development while maintaining flexibility and collaboration with administration and other programs.
• Participate in student, program, and University assessment efforts.
• Remain active as an Academic professional and seek scholarly/research activity.
• Participate in department, college, and university faculty meetings, as well as committees, convocations, commencement activities and faculty workshops.

• Doctorate's Degree in directly related field required.
• At least two years' experience teaching at the university level and curriculum development preferred.
• At least five years' experience as a Licensed mental health provider and/or art therapist in a clinical setting.
• National Certification in Art Therapy;
  Creative Arts Therapy, or Board‑Certification is preferred.

A faculty member is expected to participate in continuous improvement in the areas of teaching, professional development, and service to the University and community. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

For the academic year employees, their dependents, and spouses are eligible for a 100% waiver for undergraduate tuition and only employees are eligible for 50% waiver for graduate tuition for certain programs.
