Position Summary:

Tenure‑Track Assistant Professor of Marketing. Responsible for teaching 24 undergraduate credits per academic year (up to 3 credits may be authorized for research release). Position is within the Katz School of Business and supports majors, minors, concentrations, and certificate programs across the School.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
  • Conduct research sufficient to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status.
  • Teach undergraduate courses with a standard load of 24 credits per year, with up to 3 credits authorized for research release.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to student success through instruction, office hours, mentorship, and supervision of undergraduate projects.
  • Maintain an active program of scholarship and disciplinary engagement.
  • Participate in departmental and College governance and professional service.
  • Commit to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, working with broadly diverse communities.
  • Maintain knowledge of digital accessibility, including ADA and Section 508 requirements.
  • Produce and remediate digitally accessible course materials in accordance with FLC standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Specialized

Skills and Experience:
  • Ph.D. / D.B.A. in Marketing or a closely related field.
  • ABD candidates with a promise of degree completion within one academic year will be considered.
  • Ability and interest in teaching across multiple areas of the marketing program.
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence.
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, working with broadly diverse communities.
Preferred Education, Specialized

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience developing and teaching undergraduate marketing courses—especially integrated marketing communications, marketing practicum, and introductory digital marketing.
  • Experience with generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude).
  • Interest in developing new marketing courses and programs (e.g., certificates).
  • Work experience in marketing, digital marketing, small business, or non‑profit organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in a diverse environment.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary work.
  • Online teaching experience.
  • Ph.D./D.B.A. from an AACSB‑accredited business school.
Reports To / Supervisory Responsibility:

Associate Dean of the Katz School of Business

Physical Demands:
  • Stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone or keyboard frequently.
  • Require close vision for computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required.
Travel:

Less than 5% of the position will involve travel.

FLSA Status / Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

  • Full Year / 9‑Month Position
  • Typical work hours Monday‑Friday, varying between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. by semester.
