Pediatric Pulmonologist – WVU School of Medicine

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seeks a Pediatric Pulmonologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

• Practice pediatric pulmonology in inpatient and outpatient settings, including primary pulmonary and multidisciplinary clinics.
• Provide outreach services via telemedicine to clinics around the state.
• Perform bronchoscopies and interpret pulmonary function testing.
• Maintain high quality patient care while actively participating in teaching medical students and residents.

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for a state medical license.
• Completed a pediatrics residency program and a pediatric pulmonology fellowship program.
• Board certified in Pediatric Pulmonology; additional board certification in Sleep Medicine preferred.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The four‑clinician division is supported by a research coordinator, a nurse coordinator, a dietician, a pharmacist, pediatric respiratory therapists, and social work staff. The division hosts the Mountain State Cystic Fibrosis Center and a AASM‑accredited sleep lab with a pediatric sleep disorders clinic.

WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital is the premier site within West Virginia for primary through tertiary care of children, with plans for continued expansion. The hospital is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center with additional specialized services, including pediatric cardiac surgery and epilepsy monitoring.
