We are seeking an employed Attending Physician/Medical Director for float position between three of our centers located in the West Virginia panhandle (cities include Martinsburg, Shepherdstown, and Charles Town. There is flexibility within the schedule (16-24 hours per week).
This is a Dual Role Attending Physician/Medical Director. It is clinical in nature. Must be BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with LTC Experience.

The Attending Physician works with the Center Medical Director to ensure that delivery of clinical services achieves the Align Med Partners mission. This is accomplished by working with assigned Centers and Align Med Partners managers to oversee the implementation, utilization, & outcomes measurement of Align Med Partners Clinical Programs and nationally accepted standards of care.
The Attending Physician's Primary reporting relationship is to the Align Med Partners Regional Medical Director. The Attending Physician is also accountable to both the Center’s Administrator and Medical Director due to their legal & regulatory responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take complete responsibility for patients admitted to their service
- Comply with the Align Med Partners credentialing process
- Visit assigned patients in a timely fashion according to Align Med Partners policy & procedure
- Comply with guidelines related to Align Med Partners initiatives
- Comply with the "Rules and Regulations" of the Medical Staff
- Comply with the Align Med Partners "Corporate Integrity" policies
- Assess the customer and ensure that a complete history & physical examination are on the chart within 72 hrs after the admission to the center
- Deliver high quality care to assigned patients
- Work closely with the Center Medical Director & act to improve the care in the facility
- Serve as an appropriate role model for other physicians & staff
- Help articulate the Align Med Partners mission to the community & professional organizations
- Help the center establish appropriate relationships, & coordinate transfer & care arrangements with area hospitals & other pertinent institutions
- Demonstrate care & compassion to ensure that all internal & external customers consistently receive high quality service
- Comply with the Align Med Partners Time Off & On Call policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
ADHERES TO COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies & procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act & HIPAA.
- Participate in required orientation & training programs.
- Promptly report concerns & suspected incidences of non-compliance to management or to the Compliance Officer via the Reach Out Line.
- Cooperate with monitoring & audit functions & investigations.
M.D. or D.O. required. Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred, with maintenance of certification. Geriatrics specialization is desirable.
