As a Locum MD or DO, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients, contributing to their overall health and well-being. This role is pivotal in ensuring continuity of care and addressing the healthcare needs of the community while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

• Provide high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages
• Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing patient treatment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Participate in patient education and health promotion activities
• Respond to medical emergencies and urgent care situations

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Active medical license to practice in the state of West Virginia
• Experience in family medicine or primary care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care>
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, between 6a-6p

No call requirement

Patient Volume: 8 per day

Patient Population:
Inmates

Duties:
Comprehensive assessment and management of acute and chronic health problems

Must perform minor surgical procedures, such as incision and drainage, suturing of lacerations, cyst removal, and removal/repair of ingrown toenails

Any active, unrestricted U.S. license accepted
