Overview

West Virginia University Health System seeks a Geriatrician to join the Section of Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine and Hospice. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, with potential assignments at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania as needed.

• Practice in the areas of Geriatrics with excellent patient care.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and other WVU Medicine specialists (e.g., cardiology, oncology, neurology, pulmonary).
• Provide specialized geriatric consultation for frail, older adults with complex, life-threatening, or chronic conditions (including dementia and delirium).
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient services and contribute to program goals within Palliative Medicine and Hospice as appropriate.

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent; eligible for state medical license.
• Completed Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency; completed Geriatrics fellowship.
• Board certified or eligible in Geriatrics. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

• Subject to operational needs, travel to additional sites in WV, MD, and PA may be required.
• Position ranks available:
  Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
• West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine affiliated with WVU Health System.
