Overview

Sub-Acute, Long-Term Care is a growing sector of healthcare offering potential and work-life balance flexibility (no on-call or weekends).

We are seeking an employed Attending Physician/Medical Director for a float position across three centers in West Virginia (Martinsburg, Shepherdstown, Charles Town), with flexible scheduling (16-24 hours/week).

This dual role involves clinical responsibilities. Candidates must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with LTC experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Center Medical Director to ensure quality care aligns with company standards.
  • Work with assigned centers and management to implement clinical programs and measure outcomes.
  • Report to the Regional Medical Director, and coordinate with Center staff regarding patient care and compliance.
  • Provide complete care for admitted patients, including timely assessments and high-quality treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with credentialing, policies, and regulations.
  • Act as a role model and community ambassador for the organization.
  • Coordinate transfers and care with hospitals and other institutions.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and compliance standards, including HIPAA and the False Claims Act.
  • Participate in training and report concerns appropriately.
  • Qualifications

    • M.D. or D.O. required.
    • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred, with maintenance of certification.
    • Geriatrics specialization is desirable.
