Position Summary
West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks a part‑time Hospitalist Physician. The successful candidate will be expected to practice at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

• Practice in the areas of Internal Medicine.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
• State medical license and DEA registration (required by start date).
• Completed Internal Medicine residency program.
• Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Hospital overview
Grant Memorial Hospital is a 25‑bed critical access hospital located in Petersburg, West Virginia. Founded in 1958, it serves a multi‑county area offering a 24/7, 13‑bed Emergency Department;
Surgical Care Clinic;
Orthopedic Clinic;
Cancer Center;
Primary Care Clinic; and the only Birthing Center in a five‑county region. Petersburg is a progressive and picturesque community located in the Potomac Highlands, known for its world‑class trout fishing and hiking opportunities.
