Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall dental health initiatives. Experience with EMR systems, medical imaging, and pediatric dentistry is highly valued.
Duties- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging and documentation review
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures
- Collaborate with dentists during procedures involving general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or specialized treatments
- Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide post-treatment instructions
- Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation standards for accurate recordkeeping
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings, including pediatric dentistry preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently and effectively
- Familiarity with medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessment techniques
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Ability to work well within a team environment supporting general dentistry and specialized procedures
- Strong organizational skills for documentation review, medical coding, and maintaining accurate records

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34.0 – 40.0 per week
