Teller, Customer Service​/HelpDesk

Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers in accordance with Peoples Bank policies. The role involves opening deposit accounts, processing complex multi‑step teller transactions, selling bank products and services, assisting customers with maintenance requests, and resolving customer service issues. The teller will uncover additional customer needs and refer them to the appropriate business partner. This sales and service role is vital in helping the branch obtain goals while delivering industry‑leading customer service.

• Deliver superior customer service with a friendly demeanor, can‑do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
• Develop and retain the customer base, greet by/use name, have knowledge of account ownership, and be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution.
• Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential.
• Receive checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verify deposit amounts, and examine checks for endorsement and negotiability.
• Process complex multi‑step teller transactions.
• Research and offer additional bank products and services as appropriate.
