Job Overview

We are hiring experienced online call center customer service representatives to support the Veterans Experience Office at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in a 100% virtual role.

Location & Travel

This position is 100% virtual. Your residence must be within 60 minutes driving distance of a VA facility at Arlington VA, Columbia SC, Murfreesboro TN, Nashville TN, Salt Lake City UT, or Shepherdstown WV. Travel is required only for training, equipment pickup, or troubleshooting. Transportation responsibility is yours.

Requirements
  • Excellent communicator with empathy for Veterans.
  • Minimum six (6) months of consecutive call center or contact center experience.
  • Shift work required; positions staff 24/7.
  • Work‑at‑home environment ergonomic, quiet, and dedicated to calls.
  • Computer must connect via cable to a wired high‑speed internet router (≥25 Mbps download, ≥10 Mbps upload). Wi‑Fi not acceptable.
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with at least 3 years residency; REAL  acceptable alternative (US Passport, DoD ) required.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $17.75 per hour, full‑time, 40 hours/week.
  • 11 paid federal holidays.

Mission & Core Responsibilities
  • Help Veterans in potentially stressful situations find assistance and connect them to appropriate resources.
  • Learn and explain VA services and procedures.
  • Ask clarifying questions to identify complex requests.
  • Accurately record call details in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of callers.
  • Utilize CRM applications and multi‑screen computer systems.
  • Build effective communication with VA employees, outside agencies, and the public.
Training & Growth

Extensive training will be provided, conducted via camera in an interactive classroom. Commitment to completing training is required. Opportunities to grow into supervisory positions exist.
