JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Public Information, the Communications Facilitatoris responsible for developing, managing, and executing digital communications and marketing content for Jefferson County Schools.
This position leads the district’s digital presence across platforms including websites, social media, video, and visual media, ensuring content is engaging, brand-aligned, accessible, audience-focusedand compliant with ADA and WCAG standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage andmaintainthe district’s digital platforms, including the Jefferson County Schools website and other district-managed digital channels.
- Create, design, and publish digital content including graphics, videos, web content, and visual assets to support marketing, storytelling, and district initiatives.
- Lead the implementation of digital accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) across district communication platforms and digital content, ensuring compliance while supporting effective communication.
- Develop andmaintaindigital brand standards, templates, and visual guidelines for district and school use.
- Produce and edit multimedia content, including short-form and long-form video, graphics, and visual storytelling assets for web and social media.
- Collaborate withotherdepartmentsand schoolsto translate messaging and campaigns into engaging digital and visual formats.
- Provide guidance and support to schools and departments on creating accessible, brand-aligned digital content.
- Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics (website traffic, engagement, reach) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support social media strategy through visual content creation, platform optimization, and campaign execution.
- Ensure digital content is current,accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with district priorities.
- Support crisis communication efforts by ensuring timely, clear, and accessible digital updates.
- Promote and support district prioritiesincludingrecruitment and retention, financial transparency, and student enrollment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, multimedia production, ora related field. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in web management, digital communications, or design. Demonstrated experience with accessibility standards, web content management systems, and visual design tools preferred.
