Site Engineers X4

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry. They are looking to strengthen their construction team with Site Engineers for their Severn Trent framework.

They are looking to recruit four Site Engineers. You will be providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in an entirely safe manner, whilst maintaining appropriate site records.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with the Company safe working practices.
• Lead the preparation of construction programmes, preparation of Method Statements, Action Plans and Risk Assessments.
• Setting out the works.
• Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
• Agreement of site measurements and records with the client’s staff.
• Assist in maintaining drawing files, drawing register and site filing system.
• Liaise with the design department to ensure updated information is always used.
• Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions.
• Assist in the preparation of the construction completion documentation.
• Ensure that the required quality records are maintained.
• In conjunction with other site staff ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, the company health & safety policy, procedures and safe working practices.
• Produce data as required to facilitate accurate reporting for inclusion in Management Reports as requested by the site/project manager.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction (minimum)
• Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic level)
• First Aid at Work qualification
• SSSTS
• EUSR SHEA Water
