A loving family in Cross Lanes, West Virginia is seeking a warm, attentive, and reliable part-time nanny to care for their 6-month-old baby. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys infant care
, developmental play
, and becoming a trusted presence in a child’s early life. The home also has two cats (no pet care required).
This is a hands-on infant care position focused on supporting the baby’s daily routines, developmental milestones, and overall well-being. The nanny will work closely with parents to provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesChildcare Duties:
- Provide loving, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for a 6-month-old infant
- Maintain infant safety at all times through active supervision
- Perform daily infant care including diapering, bottle feeding, burping, bathing, and hygiene support
- Follow and support age-appropriate sleep routines and nap schedules
- Prepare bottles, baby meals, and snacks according to parental guidelines
- Engage the baby in stimulating activities:
tummy time, sensory play, reading, singing, and interactive play - Monitor and support developmental milestones and communicate progress or concerns with parents
- Maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing environment
Household Duties (Child-Related Only):
- Clean and sanitize feeding supplies and baby areas
- Light cleaning and organization of nursery and play spaces
- Manage child-related laundry (clothes, blankets, burp cloths)
- Maintain tidiness throughout the day using a “
tidy as you go
” approach
Transportation:
No driving or transportation required.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a warm, dependable, and attentive nanny with a minimum of three years of childcare experience, including at least one year of infant experience

- Respects family preferences, boundaries, and privacy
- Is comfortable working in a home with cats
- Is available for immediate start
- Minimum 3 years of childcare experience
- Minimum of 1 year of professional infant care experience in private home or childcare setting
- Hands-on experience with infant feeding, diapering, bathing, sleep routines, and developmental play
- Infant CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum age: 21 years old
- Non-smoker
- Up-to-date TB and Tdap vaccinations
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to complete background and reference checks
- Willing to make a 1-year commitment for long-term employment
- Local to the Cross Lanes, WV area
- Available to start immediately
