Mission
You will spearhead strategic growth initiatives aligned with Ireland’s National Development Plan and report to the Country President, Ireland. This role is pivotal in positioning the organisation to capture opportunities across water, rail, grid, housing, and broader infrastructure sectors.
You will lead market engagement, develop strategic partnerships, and drive pipeline development for large‑scale public and private infrastructure projects. Collaboration is essential – you will partner with existing Sales Leaders and resources from across the business to form a holistic Business Development Plan and approach to success.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Growth & Market Development
- Identify and evaluate emerging infrastructure opportunities arising from the NDP.
- Develop and execute a national business development strategy aligned with infrastructure investment priorities.
- Lead market intelligence efforts to anticipate trends, funding flows, and regulatory shifts.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain high‑level relationships with government departments, state agencies, local authorities, and private sector partners.
- Represent the organisation at industry forums, public consultations, and strategic planning sessions.
- Opportunity & Bid Management
- Oversee the qualification, pursuit, and capture of major infrastructure projects.
- Lead and influence cross‑functional teams in the preparation of proposals, tenders, and funding applications.
- Collaborate with technical, legal, and commercial teams to shape compelling value propositions.
- Act as a thought leader on infrastructure development, sustainability, and innovation.
- Mentor and develop junior business development professionals.
- Influence internal investment decisions and resource allocation based on market intelligence.
- Defined experience in Sales with a proven track record in securing large‑scale opportunities.
- Understanding of Ireland’s infrastructure landscape, public procurement, and funding mechanisms.
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to create a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
