Job Description: The Inventory Supervisor/Buyer is responsible for development and review of specifications, negotiation of purchase bids, recommendations for purchase agreements, and the supervision and maintenance in the receipt, storage, inventory and issuance of materials and supplies needed by the maintenance department.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, and Holds Inventory Supervisor and Buyer Classifications

Schedule:
7:30 am – 3:30 pm
- To write and review specifications for materials.
- To negotiate purchase bids and recommend purchase agreements for materials and services that meet predetermined specifications at the lowest available costs.
- To secure all in-house stock.
- To maintain stock control cards for common stock and all tools on trucks and in the maintenance storeroom.
- To complete an annual storeroom inventory and report discrepancies to Coordinator of Purchasing.
- To provide repair parts and/or special tools needed for work orders approved by and received from the Supervisor of Maintenance.
- To anticipate and fill special orders of the maintenance department (i.e., ordering materials in advance of a scheduled work order so that work can begin on time).
- To make emergency deliveries of special parts and/or tools as needed to the maintenance employees at a job site.
- To maintain knowledge regarding parts and tools.
- To work closely with the Coordinator of Purchasing in evaluating materials, bulk buying, etc.
- To maintain and fill orders for common daily use parts on trucks and maintain an inventory control on such parts.
- To perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Purchasing.
