About the RoleThis is a high‑impact role for someone who thrives on identifying opportunities, forging strong partnerships, and delivering profitable growth. You’ll be responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and negotiating commercial agreements that support ABP’s strategic objectives in the Humber region.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue and EBITDA.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage agreements to ensure optimal performance and profitability.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and business goals.
- Represent ABP at industry events and networking forums, promoting our ports and services.
- Support the development of commercial strategies, marketing materials, and customer communications.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to strategic decisions.
- Act as a trusted ambassador for ABP, consistently demonstrating our values and commitment to excellence.
- Proven commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable growth.
- Broad experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
- Confident networker with excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation capabilities.
- Financially literate and comfortable working with commercial contracts and pricing models.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborative team player with a positive, solutions‑focused mindset.
- Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in port operations, logistics, rail, aviation, freight forwarding, supply chain or property management.
- Exposure to market analysis and strategic pricing development.
