The Role:
Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Southern Water in the eastern half of its region (Kent & East Sussex).
Our client is looking to strengthen their operations team with a Document Controller for their joint venture framework. Based at the Falmer office, but there will be traveling to sites 4/5 days a week. You will provide document support services to the operational team who are currently using Microsoft SharePoint to store and manage project and non-project documents.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all project documentation is correctly named, uploaded, and filed on the project document management system (TWEXnet Business Collaborator) on approved templates and version control is maintained.
- Setting up and maintaining project handover delivery trackers.
- Maintain satisfactory uploading of subcontractor documents to TWEXnet i.e. update metadata to maintain consistency across all documents.
- Maintaining and monitoring of Business Collaborator Assure and closure in RAG.
- Maintain all site folders in a state where archiving can be completed efficiently and retrieved.
- Complete archiving on completion of projects.
- Produce Site Handover Packs for Operation teams.
- Liaise with the Project Handover Manager and Project Managers, providing updates on project status and highlight and chase missing documentation.
- Copying and scanning of project documentation.
- Provide and record Asset tags to Operations teams.
Experience:
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office systems.
- Experience of working in an administrative role.
- An understanding of the eight
20 end to end governance process and RAG dashboard. - TWEXnet Business Collaborator experience.
- Good experience of document control gained within the construction sector.
- Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel mainly to the East of the M23/A23.
- Experience in use of Business Collaborator, SharePoint and/or a quick learner/problem solver.
