ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE
Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when they require assistance.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their visit to Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes such as changing prices, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader for all areas.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders to guests) while complying with laws and policies.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders
• Move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions; may involve driving, carryout, etc.
• Ability to remain mobile for scheduled shift length
