General purpose and scope:
The Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store and the general operations and supervision when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening/closing the Store, supervising Associates, maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and maintaining a clean work area. They also execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.

• Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: ensure safety is the priority, maintain awareness on the sales floor, correct or report unsafe conditions, manage building security, remove clutter, ensure safe egress, and oversee accident prevention and emergency procedures.
• Customer Service: treat Customers, Associates and other leaders with respect; demonstrate courtesy, friendliness and professionalism; recognize Associates using Company programs.
• Personal and Store Brand: represent and support the Company brand; maintain professional appearance and dress code adherence; keep Store areas clean and merchandised to standard; daily trash removal.
• General Merchandising: ensure recovery, sizing and markdowns meet Company standards; assist with merchandise receiving; process merchandise promptly; manage back-stock and back-room organization; support floor moves and promotional signing; reduce loss due to damage.
• Loss Prevention: participate in Loss Prevention Awareness Program, safeguard confidential information, maintain Public View Monitor (PVM), conduct inspections, maximize productivity with efficient workflows.
• Front End Supervision & Operations: ensure Front End standards and Best Practices, manage customer wait times, train and coach Associates on cash handling and procedures, manage breaks, maintain equipment and supplies, ensure proper scanning and ticketing of merchandise.
• Fitting Rooms: maintain cleanliness, audit garment tags, ensure go-backs are processed and tagged as needed.
• Administrative Duties: cash handling controls, payroll administration, scheduling compliance, and other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by Store Manager.

• Excellent verbal communication skills;
  English fluency.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Ability to use all Store equipment; stand/walk for up to 100% of the shift; regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally lift more than 25 lbs; use janitorial equipment and ladders as needed.
