Senior Infrastructure / Networking Engineer – Collins Aerospace
Location:
Salt Lake City, UT, United States of America. This is a primarily on‑site position.
Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph. U.S. citizenship required.
What You Will Do- Assist in decision‑making and idea generation to enhance products beyond existing standards.
- Design, develop, test, and deliver advanced high‑capacity systems that process modern communications.
- Collaborate with experienced R&D members on system development and deployments for national defense.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, working autonomously and collaboratively.
- Generate briefings and present material to team members, customers, and management.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
- STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience. If no degree, at least 9 years of experience.
- Experience supporting multiple programs in system development.
- Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with Linux (Red Hat based distributions) and system administration.
- Familiarity with enterprise‑grade networking equipment (Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMware, Hyper‑V.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and configuration management systems (Puppet, Ansible, Salt).
- Experience designing and deploying networks and data centers.
- Ability to verify and validate software and system performance.
- Team‑orientated with independent work capability.
- Ready to obtain and maintain U.S. government Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph after start date.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with user‑interface development.
- Knowledge of enterprise‑grade storage equipment.
- Object‑oriented programming skills.
- Advanced scripting (Python or similar).
- Understanding of telecommunications or signal‑processing concepts.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container platforms.
- Process‑improvement expertise.
- Automated system deployment experience.
- Existing TS/SCI clearance active within the last 24 months.
