Senior Software Integration and Test Engineer – Onsite – Salt Lake City, UT
Applied Signal Technology (AST) is seeking a Senior Software Integration and Test Engineer to join our top-tier Engineering team. The role focuses on elevating products and revolutionizing the design, development, testing, and delivery of modern communication systems. AST provides strategic and tactical SIGINT solutions that safeguard the interests of the U.S. and its allies.
What You Will Do- Create test procedures based on software requirements
- Plan, coordinate, and execute software integration and testing activities
- Collaborate with software and systems engineers on product improvements and defect resolution
- Work autonomously yet collaboratively in a team environment
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years in Software Engineering and/or Software Test
- Experience creating detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure system functionality and performance meet specifications
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during integration and testing phases
- Ability to communicate progress and issues with the software and systems engineering teams
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. government issued Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Linux scripts)
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP)
- Basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and signal processing
- Experience with automated system deployments
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized systems
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field
