Applied Signal Technology (AST) is looking for a Principal Software Integration and Test Engineer to join our top-tier Engineering team and play a key role in driving our mission forward. • Create test procedures based on software requirements
• Plan, coordinate, and execute software integration and testing activities
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers on product improvements and defect resolution
• Work autonomously yet collaboratively in a team environment

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of practical experience in Software Engineering and / or Software Test.
• Experience creating detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure system functionality and performance meet specifications
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during integration and testing phases
• Ability to communicate progress and issues with the software and systems engineering teams
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

• Experience with one or more scripting languages, Python, Linux script, bash
• Experience and/or knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP
• Experience with or basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and/or signal processing
• Experience with automated system deployments
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized systems
